Inventory Planner

The Opportunity

We're seeking a full-time Inventory Planner to join our Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll oversee inventory replenishment, maintenance, and development across our national branch network, building and managing the global supply chain that keeps our shelves stocked. You'll make sure the right stock is in the right place at the right time and at the right price. This role suits someone who enjoys analysing data and keeping many moving parts on track.

We are open to developing the role to include procurement-based tasks for exceptional candidates with this experience and skill set.

What We're Looking For

Advanced knowledge in inventory systems, and knowledge of the associated building blocks such as safety stock, forecasting, lead-time and reorder cycle units in needed. Strong knowledge of stainless and performance steels is also desirable. You’ll be comfortable with IT and business systems and confident presenting recommendations to senior management.

What we really value is how you work. We’re after someone who is organised, persistent and analytical, who thinks independently and can juggle multiple tasks at once. You’ll communicate clearly with internal customers including Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Logistics and our leadership team, with a professional & customer-focused approach. If you take ownership of an order from request to handover rather than passing problems along, you’ll do well here, and there’s genuine room to grow with a national business.

  • Monitor stock for stock-outs and potential stock-outs and act quickly to correct them

  • Review forecasting to ensure efficient reorder processes & reviews.

Support & Reporting
